Lol, u did what I did, I bet. U googled fangirl, I've got some of those pics on my itouch. Loki fangirl, he** yea! Ditto Harry Potter! I'm a Black Star 2!!!!!!!!!! I didn't c any potc... ;-)
Hi I would like to point out how rude it is to have/create a picture of Loki with his head cut off. Loki originated from mythology and some people still worship him. It is inappropriate to take a picture even one of a character based on someone's god and desecrate their image by implying the god is permanently dead. It would be like if I took a picture of Jesus and desecrated it and suggested that god is dead. Even if I took a picture from another source such as a made up story about Jesus it would still not be appropriate and many Christians would be offended by it. Although I don't believe in censorship to the point the media encourages there is a line that should never be crossed and desecration and the suggestion of murdering someone's god crosses that line. The point could have been made just as well through a picture of fighting Loki and that would have been a lot less offensive
Hi, Ashley Magical. I'm Natasha, the creator of this blog. Thanks for your long (but informative) comment.
I understand where you're coming from, and you make a very good point. However, it was not my intention to desecrate a god or be disrespectful. The reason for this post is a number of things:
1.) This was two years ago. I was very naive and didn't think things through as well as I do now (that's not to say that I don't make mistakes). I actually forgot this blog was still up. I forgot I even had one. Needless to say, I forgot the image was up. If I had known it still was, maybe I would have thought it through and taken it down. 2.) This image was not directed at Loki from the religion. You made your point about this with your analogy, but Marvel's Loki is the one in the picture. I only posted it to mock my own blog because it was the opposite of "fangirling," if that makes sense. It was directed at the Loki fanbase which is a different war of its own. 3.) Although I above stated that it was directed at the Loki fanbase, I am part of the Loki fanbase. I, again, only posted it to mock myself. 4.) I made this site as my friend's and my outlet for our "fangirling." It was in no way meant to be offensive.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I did not see it in this light and I honestly probably never would have had you not said anything. Thank you again for pointing this out. I will take down the picture, if that's any consolation, and I apologize if I offended you or anyone else with that picture.
